Proof you can triumph over tragedy, Lori Best Yeager created The Hope for B.E.S.T., in 2020 after the sudden loss of her triplet brother, Dan Best, death by suicide.

The non-profit is dedicated to raising mental health awareness.

The Hope for B.E.S.T. has raised $27,000 to support the mental health programs in the Avon Local Schools.

This year, The Hope for B.E.S.T. is hosting a community FEST event from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 13 on the south lawn at Avon Middle School, 3445 Long Road.

Proceeds from the event will be shared between the Avon Local Schools, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception and Holy Trinity schools for mental health awareness for students.

The pet-friendly family event includes raffles, vendors, carnival games, music, and food trucks.
