HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) — Saturday, August 16, marked the 14th annual Ferrario Jazz Festival to benefit the Economic Opportunity Program. The day featured jazz artists, vendors, and lots of dancing at Throne Street Park in Horseheads.
"I'm just excited to be here and have a great day," said Lillie Rollins. "The sun and the everything is beautiful, including the people."
Some artists and groups performing included Paula Atherton, Gail Jhonson, Brooke Alford, and Top Shelf. The festival also featured the Ernie Davis Community Center Music Consortium, an EOP program that helps kids develop their music skills.
Many of the people at the event were seen wearing punk for the "Jazz in Pink" group, an all-female musical ensemble based in Los Angeles. People at the festival said they're enjoy
