SHINNSTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Saturday was the Party on the Green in Shinnston, where people could come out to the lawn next to Casey’s and enjoy some free live music.

Four years ago, three Shinnston locals came up with the idea as a way to celebrate the town. This year the live acts were the 3 Teez Band, Andy Benso, and Marshall Lowry.

While the original three organizers are all alumni of Shinnston High School from the Class of 1968, the event organizers said that this was not a reunion and more a way to celebrate and promote the town.

Stephen Glass, one of the organizers of the event, was happy to see so many people come out to celebrate the town.
