ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Three people are displaced after a house fire Saturday, August 16, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS.

Roanoke Fire-EMS responded at 5:39 p.m. to reports of a kitchen fire on the 2500 block of Denniston Ave SW. Firefighters say smoke was coming from the front door.

After searching the residence and extinguishing the flames, the fire was contained to the kitchen, according to firefighters.

No injuries were reported.

The displaced individuals are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
