A care home still ‘requires improvement’ 10 months after legal breaches were identified.

Ingleby Care Home was visited in October, last year, and issues were raised in relation to the safe management of medicines, governance and oversight, person-centred care and processes in relation to the duty of candour and notifiable safety incidents. The Ingleby Barwick facility, which is registered to accommodate up to 56 people, was visited again by Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors in June when 24 people were residents.

“Whilst sufficient improvements had been made to meet three of the breaches, there remained a breach in relation to good governance as the provider had not made sufficient progress in relation to assessing, monitoring and improving the quality of the service,” they said
