EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office unveiled additions to its training K-9 facility that has some of its furry team members barking with excitement.
The updates to the facility included new obstacles and extra lighting on the field for late night training. During the unveiling a K-9 demonstration showed attendants how deputies utilize the space.
The event also served as a dedication to joe sells the founder of Oliver's Heroes an organization dedicated to supporting retired k-9's.
“He's a big part of getting it started and with fundraising efforts,” Sheriff Noah Robinson said. “And now this field is a fitting tribute to him. As you can see this will stand as a permanent memorial for his contributions to the Sheriff's Office and our K9 program.”
