The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory at 6:14 p.m. on Saturday in effect until 9:15 p.m. for Deschutes County.
The weather service states, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."
"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways," explains the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route."
