WINDHAM & RAYMOND -- Authorities on Saturday, August 16, released the identities of both the victim and the shooter after Friday's incident in Windham. According to the Maine State Police, while the investigation is still ongoing, they say there is no known connection between the shooter and the victim.

Maine State Police says on Friday, August 15, at around 1:55 p.m., the Windham Police Department was notified of a shooting in town at the intersection of Route 302 and Landing Road.

They say witnesses reported of a male on a motorcycle, Erin Hayne, 33, of Casco, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite lifesaving measures from witnesses and a Maine Game Warden who happened to be in the area, police say Hayne was pronounced dead at the scene.
