LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Saturday was a golden celebration of Kentucky’s storytelling roots.
3rd Turn Brewing, in Crestwood, hosted the 50th anniversary of the Corn Island Storytelling Festival.
Founded in 1975 by Kentucky author, documentarian, and Kentucky poet laureate Lee Pennington, the Corn Island Storytelling Festival has grown into one of the state's most beloved gatherings of oral tradition.
The festival featured ten storytellers, a petting zoo, live music, food and drinks.
