Fear and stress may overcome the body when a person is told the dreadful news: “You have cancer.’”

One in two men and one in three women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Although these numbers seem daunting and cancer patients may feel a sense of hopelessness, a strong and curious doctor still stands behind them, ready to take action.

Doctors at the University of Toledo Medical Center test new methods of treatment in hundreds of clinical trials each year. The center actively participates in clinical trials for various cancers including, bladder, blood, brain, breast, carcinoid, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, renal, and skin cancers.
