SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — An Arizona man is accused of embezzling millions of dollars from employee benefit plans for personal purchases, such as big game hunting trips and direct deposits to his girlfriend, a news release states.
James Campbell, 47, is the CEO and founder of Axim Fringe Solutions Group, LLC. The company processes employee benefits for employees of federal contractors, and at the time of the alleged theft, the company was headquartered in Maryland. Campbell now resides in Scottsdale, according to a news release from the Department of Justice regarding the recently unsealed indictment.
Court documents allege that Axim's clients sent funds to the company to pay for health insurance premiums and 401(k) retirement contributions.
