Investigators are searching for a 7-month-old Cabazon baby who allegedly disappeared outside a San Bernardino County retail store, and are considering the possibility that the parents may have harmed him.

Deputies responded to a retail store on the 34-500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard around 8 p.m. on Aug. 14 after Emmanuel Haro’s mother reported being assaulted while changing his diaper outside her car. She lost consciousness during the attack, and the baby was missing when she came to, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department press release. Despite searches by San Bernardino and Riverside County deputies and K-9 units, Emmanuel was not found.
