A Careywood couple's longtime home was destroyed in the Sunset Fire on Wednesday, and relatives are rallying to help them start over.

Walter and Linda Anderson, who live on Sunset Road, escaped without injury but could not save their house.

"We're looking to help Walter and Linda rebuild in a new life," wrote Phil Peck, husband of Bobbie Jo Peck, the Anderson's daughter, on a GoFundMe page. "Anything anyone might be able to do would be greatly appreciated. They have and always will have the loving support of family and friends."

Peck said they were alerted Wednesday afternoon to the fast-growing wildfire on Sunset Road in Careywood, the same road that is home to the Andersons and was the childhood home to both of their children, Bobbie Jo and Brandon.
