Those are opening words of "Schindler's List," printed over a bleak black and white scene of Jews walking into Krakow, carrying whatever life's belongings they can on their shoulders as they are assigned cramped rooms in buildings. The Hitler regime was well into its plan of forcing Jewish communities into labor camps. Those who could work were forced into labor. Those who couldn't were sent to be exterminated.
