COLUMBUS, Ohio -- At least according to one award postseason award, Ohio State didn’t have the best freshman in college football last season.

Colin Simmons, the talented edge rusher from Texas, was given the 2024 Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year award. It was a tad controversial at the time, but the merits are certainly true: The Longhorns have a remarkably talented pass-rusher that is going to be a problem for any team they play.
