FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Some lingering rain showers will make for a wet start to your Sunday, but luckily most of those showers are starting to fizzle out the later we get into the morning. One or two light showers could remain into the late morning, but expect semi-clearing skies and temperatures on the rise throughout the rest of the day with a high in the upper 80s.
As for any heat concerns today, they will be isolated spots that could reach into the upper 90s for the heat index, but it will be harder to attain as a result of lower high temperatures and partial cloud coverage this afternoon. It will still be a hot and humid afternoon nonetheless.
Rain chances continue into the new work week, with on and off periods of scattered showers from Monday through Wednesday morning.
