One month after Connie Karras was laid off from her latest job, the 59-year-old Marine Corps veteran shared her plight on Facebook.

“Friends/Hiring Managers: I am asking for help to find a job because for the first time in my life I cannot even get a first interview at jobs for which I am not only well qualified, but even overqualified,” Karras wrote. “If anyone has any leads on full-time, gainful employment with good benefits, PLEASE contact me privately to discuss. I am beginning to lose hope.”
