BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC. (WTOC) - Officials confirm there is a major fire on Fripp Island.

Fripp Island is along the South Carolina coast, north of Hilton Head Island. Officials said off-duty firefighters from Burton were being called in to assist. Multiple agencies are responding to this fire.

A WTOC viewer sent us this video of the fire.

The Fripp Island Facebook page stated as of 3 p.m. Saturday, Bonito Drive will be closed until further notice while the investigation as to how the fire started continues.
