Allegheny County police are investigating how one man died and another was injured Saturday night inside a West Mifflin home.

While conducting a welfare check at 10:45 p.m. at a home in the 1100 block of Thompson Run Road, officers found one man dead and another suffering from lacerations, according to the Allegheny County Police Department Homicide Unit.

The injured man was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Early investigations indicate the men were involved in a fight. Detectives are working with the district attorney’s office to determine if charges will be filed, police said in a statement.
