When future generations of Americans look back and ask themselves where we went wrong in the existential fight against climate change, they will see this moment as a critical turning point.

The Trump administration has announced its intention to repeal the Environmental Protection Agency’s 2009 Endangerment Finding, the bedrock determination that greenhouse gas emissions threaten the public’s welfare — paving the way for much of the legislation we have passed to combat climate change, both here in New Jersey and across the country.

To put it simply, President Trump has chosen to reject over 15 years of scientific consensus and deny the very notion that climate change is a problem that needs to be solved.
