One lane closed on the M48 Severn Bridge after a car broke down has now reopened. The incident was reported at 4.30pm today (Sunday August 17).

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "One lane closed due to broken down vehicle on M48 Severn Bridge in both directions between J1 with the A403 at the Aust services and J2 and the A466 Wye Valley Link Road at Chepstow. Traffic is coping well."

At 5.20pm it was confirmed that the broken down vehicle had been moved and all lanes had reopened.
