A woman is expected to survive stab wounds suffered during an assault in Long Beach Sunday, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 700 block of Orange Avenue regarding a stabbing and contacted two women, one of whom had wounds to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed her to a hospital.
“The preliminary investigation suggestions the victims were in a verbal dispute with a male adult and female adult suspect, which escalated when the suspects assaulted the victims, and the male suspect subsequently stabbed one of the victims,” police said.
The suspects fled on foot prior to the arrival of police, and the investigation was ongoing.
