The Iowa Hawkeyes and head coach Kirk Ferentz are heading into the 2025 college football season with big hopes. After a disappointing 2024 season, the Hawkeyes put in a lot of work to improve during the offseason.
Making a big leap at the quarterback position was an obvious need. Iowa made two moves to help make that happen.
Both Mark Gronowski and Hank Brown were brought in to be the new No. 1 and No. 2 quarterbacks on the roster. Gronowski seems likely to start, but Brown has been showing great flashes so far early in the year.
Making the move from South Dakota State, Gronowski is not a name that most national fans will recognize. However, his game should elevate the Hawkeyes' passing offense in a big way from what it was last season.
