Billy Joel announced a major career move amid his ongoing health battle , marking the end of an era for his motorcycle shop in Long Island, New York.
On Aug. 13, Joel's representative Claire Mercuri confirmed to The Associated Press that the music legend will close 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay in late September.

Additionally, the "Piano Man" singer, 76, will reportedly sell his motorcycle collection at an auction later this year. Joel's rep cited his medical issue as the reason for the move.
In May, Joel revealed he was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), prompting him to cancel his tour dates in 2025 and 2026 .
