Following an election day described by the relevant authorities as peaceful, with no major incidents and broad citizen participation across the country, the polling stations closed at 16:00 p.m. local time, according to the scheduled deadline.

According to electoral regulations, polling stations must operate for eight uninterrupted hours from the moment they open, so the closing time may be delayed for those that were delayed in opening. In addition, polling stations where people are still waiting in line to vote must remain open, EFE reports.

Polling stations across Bolivia opened their doors early in the morning under strict security protocols and in the presence of electoral juries, notaries, delegates from political organizations, and observers from 19 international organizations. 10
