The Eagles added wide receiver John Metchie III in a trade with the Texans on Sunday, with the start of the regular season only a few weeks away.
Metchie and the Texans’ sixth-round draft pick will head to Philadelphia in exchange for tight end Harrison Bryant and a fifth-round pick, ESPN reported .
The deal is viewed as a low-risk, high-reward move for the Eagles, with NBC Sports Philadelphia indicating that Bryant wasn’t likely to make the 53-man roster out of camp, and that now gives Philadelphia even more depth at the wide receiver position. 3
