DAPHNE, Ala. ( WALA ) - Former Alabama running back and Daphne native TJ Yeldon was arrested on domestic violence charges over the weekend, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they were dispatched to the 28000 block of Highway 181 at approximately 1 am on Sunday, Aug 16.

BCSO said they received a call where communications officers could hear what was believed to be a domestic violence offense happening between a male and female.

When deputies arrived, they said the male subject turned off the lights inside the residence and refused to open the door.

The caller stated she had locked herself in the bedroom prior to deputies arrival, but after the male turned off the lights, he allegedly began trying to get into the bedroom.
