Residents across the Chicago area were cleaning up after Saturday night storms dealt serious damage, including at a suburban condominium building that took a direct hit.

"I lived here 28 years and never anything like this," resident Antony Artaga said.

A Mount Prospect condo building, which is home to dozens, was heavily damaged.

More than 60 units were left uninhabitable.

"When I came here, I was in tears," Artaga said. "I've never seen anything so devastating."

"It's pretty bad," Jackie Mattson, another resident, stated. "There was a guy with a drone up on the top, and you can basically see the floor plan from the sky, the roof is totally gone on top.."

People in the suburb said strong winds hit fast, not only damaging property but causing power outages.
