CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Saturday was the last day of the season for the Clarksburg Splash Zone. At least it was for people anyway.

With the waterpark closing for the year, they decided to let the place go to the dogs with Drool at the Pool, an event to raise money for the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge County.

For the event, pups and people could come in, paddle around, and float down the lazy river. And for any person or pet who hadn't quite mastered the doggy paddle yet, the Salem University swim team was there to be lifeguards for the day.

12 News caught up with Dakota Luke Shingleton and his Newfoundland dog, Moose, who Shingleton said “drug” him along into the lazy river.
