BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Amid debate over two internal investigations into the City of Bridgeport itself, the city council held a special session Tuesday night to decide whether to complete them.
Last week, attorney William Ihlenfeld explained that there were two investigations, one that he was hired for by former City Manager Patrick Ford, known as Investigation A, and another, which was an offshoot of that initial investigation, and is known as Investigation B.
The council voted Tuesday night to approve the completion of the initial investigation, which had an associated price of $15,000, with Councilmember Chris Kinney saying that “it’s essentially done.”
