WASHINGTON — A Maryland pastor whose detainment by ICE prompted protest inside his Eastern Shore community was returned home this weekend.

Daniel Fuentes Espinal, 54, a longtime Easton resident, was picked up by U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement during his morning commute to work in late July.

The following week, dozens of people lined Route 50 in Easton to protest his detention. Fuentes Espinal is the pastor at Iglesia Del Nazareno Jesus Te Ama and a construction worker.

In a video posted to a family friend's Facebook page on Sunday, Espinal thanked his community for its support.
