CAVE CITY, Ky. (WBKO) — Caverna Independent Schools issued a detailed statement Sunday addressing recent allegations of student violence published by the Barren County Progress.

The newspaper’s publisher, Jeff Jobe, said he received two videos from a parent showing her son being struck by larger students at Caverna Middle School.

The mother shared the videos because she believed the students involved were part of a group linked to multiple incidents, including a previous episode in which a student was reportedly taunted and struck with a belt by two students and a former coach.

That coach has since resigned and faces criminal charges .
