MAYFIELD, Ky. (WBKO) - One person was airlifted to a Nashville hospital after a shooting at a high school football game in Mayfield.

In an online release, the Mayfield Police Department stated that the shooting happened in a stadium parking lot on Friday night during the school’s game against Graves County High School.

The game was stopped, with Mayfield leading Graves County 40-7. According to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Riherd Scoreboard, 40-7 will serve as the final score.

Facebook posts from Graves County High School and Mayfield Independent Schools say that no students or staff were hurt in the shooting, with Mayfield Independent Schools cancelling all weekend activities.
