LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - A KSP trooper suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries after a collision on Friday in Lawrence County.
According to KSP, at approximately 11:08 a.m. on August 22nd, a trooper from Post 18 in Ashland was conducting a traffic stop when his patrol vehicle was struck from the rear by another vehicle. The impact caused the Trooper’s vehicle to collide with a third vehicle that was involved in the traffic stop.
As a result of the collision, four individuals were transported to the hospital for evaluation. All four individuals were later released.
KSP wants to remind all motorists to remain alert, avoid distractions, and move over or slow down when approaching emergency or law enforcement vehicles stopped on the highway.
