LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Violence throughout the community has been on the top of the minds of Louisville residents. Two Metro Council members are coming together for a special forum.
Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, D-1, and Councilman Ken Herndon, D-4, will host a community discussion on Monday about violence prevention.
The goal of the forum is to talk solutions and how the community can help to combat violence and/or violent acts.
“It’s time for us to come together to talk about real solutions to gun violence in our community,” Hawkins said.
In a statement released by the pair Saturday, Herndon also spoke about the tragic fatal shooting of a young mother walking her child to a bus stop Wednesday morning.
