Multiple people were hospitalized after a car drifted into a crowd in East Liberty on Sunday evening, officials said.
First responders were called to Broad Street at Centre Avenue around 6:30 p.m. after a car veered into a crowd that gathered for a community event, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
A witness told officials that the car was slow-moving and had no driver in it when the incident occurred.
The vehicle’s owner stayed at the scene and told police he thought the car was in park before exiting.
Six victims — five women and one man — were reported in the incident, police said. Five were transported to the hospital, three is serious, but stable condition and two in stable condition.
The remaining victim was evaluated at the scene and refused EMS transport, officials said
