It was a hot and mainly dry weekend across central and south Alabama. However, the afternoon heat could be a little more intense early this week. A heat advisory runs from 12PM Monday through 8PM Tuesday for Marengo, Perry, Dallas, and Chilton counties. Heat indices likely peak near or above 105° in locations including Demopolis, Marion, Selma, and Clanton. Elsewhere, they likely exceed 100°.
Meanwhile, a few showers and storms formed in our area Sunday afternoon, but most locations stayed dry. Sunday night looks mostly clear and dry with lows in the low to mid 70s.
