It’s preseason for everyone, including the commentators.
FOX broadcaster Joe Davis proved that during the Buffalo Bills ’ 38-0 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday night. During the third quarter of the game, Davis and Greg Olsen had Bills GM Brandon Beane on set. The trio discussed Josh Allen, the NFL’s reigning MVP, to set up a video package.
When it began, Davis made a significant error, stating Allen was Buffalo’s first MVP since Thurman Munson won the award over three decades ago.
“Well, we talked about the contract that he got,” Davis said on the broadcast. “Of course, winning the MVP. First one for the Bills in more than three decades back to Thurman Munson.”
The only problem with Davis’ statement? He had the wrong Thurman.
