Scooter club raises funds in memory of members who died in horror crash

A local scooter club has raised over £24,000 for charity in memory of three of its beloved members, who died in a crash earlier this year .

Tim Davies, Marie Carol Jones and Rob Best, who were part of the Yate & Sodbury Scooter Club, were killed in a collision involving a red Toyota Prius and their three Vespas on the A36 in Wiltshire on May 31.

Wiltshire Police are still investigating the incident, and the driver of the car has been interviewed voluntarily.

Rob, a 62-year-old from Bradley Stoke, died at the scene . Despite the best efforts of air ambulance crews, Tim, from Sharpness, Gloucestershire, and Marie, from Yate, eventually died in hospital from their injuries. Both were also in their 60s.
