A builder made a series of chilling threats to a customer and his family after a dispute over a £21,500 bill spiralled out of control.

David Jones had been carrying out work on a house in Grange-over-Sands in July 2024, but the job ended after the working relationship with the client broke down.

As the job soured, customer Ross Freeman demanded a refund of the £21,500 bill, LancsLive reports .

On October 18, 2024, Mr Freeman received a phone call from a withheld number, and put the call on speaker so his wife could record the conversation when he recognised Jones' voice.
