High school girls volleyball in Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas is in countdown mode with the 2025 season set to start on Sept. 1.
Teams across the 337 have kicked off their seasons hosting or preparing for jamborees, all of them itching to get back on the court for another competitive year of volleyball. Last season, 25 area teams earned a spot in the LHSAA five-division playoff brackets with five of them making it all the way to the Cajundome.
St. Thomas More and Westminster Christian Academy-Opelousas were the last area teams standing making it to the finals round in Division II, and V brackets respectively. The Cougars would go on to be the lone state champion from the area, winning their fourth straight title in a row.
