AUSTIN, Texas — Police are investigating Austin's 65th deadly crash this year.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), officers responded just before 4:25 a.m. to the 10600 block of North FM 620 in northwest Austin, where a vehicle and a pedestrian on a scooter appeared to be involved in a crash.

Law enforcement said the driver was uninjured, but the pedestrian died on scene. Neither person involved has yet been identified.

Both lanes of the roadway shut down sometime around 4:30 a.m. Monday , according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The road reopened several hours later.
