Hurricane Erin is expected to bring life-threatening surf and rip currents across the U.S. eastern seaboard this week, according to the National Hurricane Center.
It is a Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph.
This is the first hurricane of the 2025 season in the Atlantic.
As of 11 a.m., Erin was located about 110 miles north of Grand Turk Island and had a minimum central pressure of 935 mb.
