Tesco recalls 'unsafe' beauty product warning it could contain bacteria

Tesco customers have been warned not to use a popular product amid safety concerns. Some batches of the Tesco Kind & Pure Facial Cleansing Wipes have been found to contain Pluralibacter gergoviae.

The bacterium is linked to respiratory diseases, urinary tract infections, eye infections, and can also cause sepsis. Infections in healthy people are unusual, however it can cause severe problems in people with weakened immune systems, chronic illnesses, or those undergoing surgical procedures.
