(WENY) -- Monday mornings aren’t always easy, but one furry friend made it a whole lot brighter. This week’s Pet of the Week introduced us to Gannon, a six-month-old lab mix who has no shortage of energy and personality.

Susan Monroe joined me in the studio to talk about the playful pup. “He’s ready to go,” she said. “He’s up to date on his vaccines, he was just neutered, he’s been microchipped, he’s just a super, super good puppy.”

At just half a year old, Gannon still has some learning to do. Housebreaking is almost there, about 99%, according to Susan, and while he’s not a fan of the crate, he does fine with space to roam. “The only time he is crated is when I go to work,” she explained. “He can’t be trusted, but he does really well otherwise.”
