ELMIRA,N.Y. (WENY) -- This week, young hockey players are getting their chance to shine at Elmira’s LECOM Event Center. The Elmira Aviators are hosting a specialized goalie prospect camp designed to develop skills and showcase talent ahead of the team’s upcoming season.

The camp runs Monday, August 18th, through Friday, August 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving athletes the chance to train with expert coaches, compete in scrimmages, and show off their progress. The week wraps up with an All-Star game on Friday, featuring the top players from the camp.

Organizers say the sessions are open to the public, inviting family, fans, and community members to come out and support the athletes.

The goalie camp also marks the start of the Aviators’ preparations for their 2025–26 season in the NAH
