NORTH WILDWOOD — A motorcyclist was killed after losing control of his bike on Friday night on West Spruce Avenue, police said.
The crash occurred on the 600 block of West Spruce Avenue around 9:53 p.m., police said.
A black sport motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when the operator lost control of the motorcycle and veered off the road, police said.
Police said that just before the crash, an officer had seen the bike traveling at a high rate of speed.
The North Wildwood Fire Department and medics from AtlantiCare provided medical assistance, and the man was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The man's name has not been released.
