SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man is facing charges after a woman allegedly walked in on the suspect attempting to burglarize her residence in Shelton, police said.
An investigation revealed that the suspect, David Pavlik, 57, of Seymour, had previously done work at the woman's residence, police said. He was charged with home invasion, robbery in the third degree and burglary in the first degree.
It happened around 12:15 p.m. on Friday in the Huntington area. The 68-year-old woman told police that when she arrived home, she noticed her door was slightly ajar, police said.
When she entered the home, she found a man inside with his face covered. The woman and the alleged burglar got into a "physical altercation," and the woman allegedly bit the suspect, police said.
