Marti Cifuentes hopes Leicester City can enjoy Jeremy Monga’s talent for a long time, with transfer speculation already swirling in the wake of the winger’s history-making goal.
Monga became not just City’s youngest scorer but also the youngest scorer in the history of the Championship when he found the net at Preston aged 16 years and 37 days.
That saw him break Jude Bellingham’s record, and it is Bellingham’s current club Real Madrid who have been named as one of the clubs interested in Monga. Fellow La Liga giants Barcelona are also keen, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
While they’re not especially renowned for their accuracy when it comes to transfer rumours, interest from far and wide is expected in the teenager given the performances he is producing at such a young age.
