ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, ACPD and the Albemarle County Department of Fire Rescue were sent to the 900 block of Monacan Trail Road for reports of a pedestrian on the shoulder of the road.
